Thomas David Mayfield

Mr. Thomas David Mayfield, age 54 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Mr. Mayfield was born on October 9, 1964 in Griffin, Georgia.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Harp Mayfield. David was employed by Rogers Electric in Alpharetta for 20 years until his recent retirement; they became his second family whom he loved. His job gave him the opportunity to travel the United States and see this beautiful country. He loved horses, country music, Georgia Bulldogs Football, the Dallas Cowboys and was a cowboy at heart.  He had a huge heart with a humorous spirit and loved his family and friends. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Thomas (Tommy) and Emma Smoot Mayfield of Molena; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Tim Cato of Griffin; niece, Jessica Cato; great-nephew, Jassiah Cato; great-niece, Jayden Cato; special friend, Melanie Helms.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Eternal Hope Hospice for the love, care and dignity given to David and his family. Also, to the family of Rogers Electric for their love and support. 

A visitation for Thomas David Mayfield will be Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Eternal Hope Hospice, 123 N 18th St, Griffin, GA 30223.
