Tim Bateman

Wendell Timothy Bateman Jr. age 53, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2021 at his residence.

Tim was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 17, 1968. His parents, Wendell Timothy Bateman Sr., and Sandra Elaine Simmons Bateman preceded him in death. Tim was a volunteer fireman and formally worked as a driver for Rock-it Sand and Gravel.

Survivors include, his wife, Misty S. Bateman; children; Adam Howell (Kim), Brandy Johnson (Chris), Dustin Howell (Sharon), Shane Howell (Daphne), Holly Stansell (Michael), Jake Bateman (Katie), Brandon Duerr (Brittany), Mason Duerr; mother-in-law, Polly Sturgill after Tim's mom passed, she stepped in to be his second Mama; 15 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be to the funeral home to help with expenses.
