Tim Conkle

Tim Conkle, age 72 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 16 2022 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.
Tim was born in Griffin, Georgia on January 16, 1950. His parents, Roney and Betty Heard Conkle, son, J.D. Conkle and brother Dwayne Conkle preceded him in death.

Tim was a 1968 graduate of Griffin High School and a 1972 graduate of Southern Technical College-Marietta. He owned and operated Conkle & Lane and Associates Land Surveyors with Chuck Lane for 42 years. Tim was a member of Midway United Methodist Church (now Pinnacle Baptist Church).

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Kathy Conkle; daughter, Katie Conkle; granddaughter, Londyn Yevick; brother Roney Conkle (Janelle); sisters-in-law Karen Faulkner, Dawn Thorpe (Thomas); extended family, Sabrina and Anthony Bailey, Teanill & Aaron Burrow and Braelynn, Jessica and Wayne Corliss, Leah Ortenzo, Amy Hans and many other close family friends, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Pinnacle Baptist Church; Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. The family will receive visitors following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (donors@stjude.org) or Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital (choa.org) in Tim’s memory.
