Todd Ryan Droegmiller of Griffin, Georgia passed away at the age of 42. He was born in Mason City, Iowa on May 13, 1980 to Peter and Marilyn Droegmiller and moved to Georgia with his parents and siblings, Scott, Tami, and Keri in 1988. He attended school in the Griffin-Spalding System and graduated from Griffin High School in 1998. He received his Associates Degree from Gordon State and has been employed as a lighting technician for most of his adult life.
Todd was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in the youth program there and participated in the youth activities and events of the ELCA at large. Todd enjoyed singing and playing guitar at church worship and family gatherings – especially singing with his daughters, Harper and Aubrey. He was also active in Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He spent some summers as a camp counselor at both scout camp and church camp.
Todd is survived by his parents, Peter and Marilyn Droegmiller, his brother, Scott, and his sisters, Tami (Droegmiller) Secor , and Keri (Droegmiller) Bass, his wife, Amy (McAlister) Droegmiller, and their daughters, Harper and Aubrey. In addition, he is survived by his in-laws, Bobbi and Lester Windsor, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Todd was a loving, kind, spiritual, and genuine person who always saw the best in others – family, friends, and co-workers. He will be greatly missed by all.
The memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 1689 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Griffin, GA 30224 on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall. Pastor Katherine Pasch and Pastor Larry Boudon will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint John Lutheran Church Columbarium.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, February 17 from 6-8 pm at St. John Lutheran Church.
