Mr. Thomas (Tommy) Curtis Kennedy age 79 of Griffin, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Mr. Tommy Kennedy was born in Flippin, Georgia on February 1, 1940. He is preceded in death by parents, Corbitt Curtis Kennedy and Shirley Agnes Wilson Kennedy. Tommy was a graduate of Griffin High School, served in the National Guard for six years, and retired from Southern States for 38 years. Mr. Kennedy was also a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Bobbie Kennedy; children, Tommy and Sherrie Kennedy, Bob and Michelle Gentry, and Brenda and Mark Smith; sister, Ann Cook; he also has 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Followed by a funeral service in the sanctuary. Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery.
