Tommy Rayford Thompson

Mr. Tommy Rayford Thompson age 74 of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.

Mr. Thompson was born in Pratt, Kansas on April 7, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents Howell Olin Thompson and Nan Baker; and sister Dorothy Harper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Griffin Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the New Life Assembly Church of Griffin, Georgia.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife Deborah Thompson; sons Matthew Thompson and wife Elizabeth, Travis Thompson and fiancé Samantha Thomas; grandchildren Clayton Thompson, Austin Ledford and Anslee Ledford; brothers Sammy Chesser and wife Sammie, Mickey Thompson; sister Martha Mills and husband Marvin; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Jeff Shelton will officiate.
