Vernell Phillips Grant

Mrs. Vernell Phillips Grant, age 81 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mrs. Grant was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 16, 1939. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Phillips and Elsie Foster Phillips Helms; husband, Jimmy Grant; sisters, Ethleen Davis, and Glenda Grant; brothers, Claude Phillips, Jr., and Wilber Phillips. Mrs. Grant was a homemaker, seamstress and had previously taught Sunday school at Central Lake Church of God. Mrs. Grant previously attended Center Point Church.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Grant Chadwick; Terry Lee Grant and wife Jeanne; grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle Grant, Cameron Chadwick, Jared and Leslie Chadwick; great grandchildren, Shealyn Chadwick, Aiden Chadwick, Blakley Chadwick, Carston Chadwick, Isabella Grant, Jackson Grant; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow in Westwood Gardens at 11:30 am.
