Virginia Laster

Mrs. Virginia Maner Laster, age 93 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Mrs. Laster was born in Meriwether, Georgia on November 18, 1926. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Laster; parents Henry Lloyd Maner and Lonie Clem Massengale Maner. Mrs. Laster retired from the Griffin Spalding County School System, and she was a member of Devotie Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children Mike and wife Elaine Laster of Griffin, Gary and wife Nancy Laster of Milner, Randy and Jill Laster of Griffin, and Celia Peach of Griffin; grandchildren Larry Laster of Sanford, NC, Kelly and Michael Reeves of Charlotte, NC, Jenna and Denton Giles of Roswell, GA, Hannah Laster of Griffin, and Holly Laster of Asheville, NC;  great grandchildren Anna and Michael Spencer, Zachary Laster, Mary Ashlee Laster, Aaric, Mikayla, Xander, Gabe Reeves and Madison Giles.

Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Ken Horton and Reverend Sean Nix will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery
