Barbara Jo,
Coach Cook was a terrific coach, and I felt so fortunate to have him show me the basketball ropes. Playing for the Pirates was some of my fondest memories of being a teenager. I can't imagine not having those experiences. I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Rest assured that many of us really appreciated your husband. Peace and love to you and your family.

Coach Cook was a great guy. I was his secretary at Pike County High my senior year during one of my free periods. He was instrumental in helping me secure my first job at the bank. I have many fond memories of Coach and count him as one of my true heroes. Rest in peace my friend.

My sympathies to the Cook family. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's no way to really describe the pain one feels when he or she loses a loved one in death. Feelings of sadness and grief can be so overwhelming during this time of mourning. However, comfort from the scriptures can give you hope. John 5:28,29 speaks of the promise of the resurrection hope. What this can mean for your family is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones at a time when "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time.
