Mr. William Thomas Dodson, III, age 47 of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.
William was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 28, 1972. He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Dodson; grandparents, William Dodson Sr., Kathleen Standridge and Violet Wilson.
William was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and was most recently employed as a Lead Mechanic for AF Compressors.
Survivors include his parents, William Dodson Jr. and Tanga Meredith Dodson; niece, Harmoni Dodson; several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in Milner Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Gene Luke will officiate.
