William Kenneth Dorton

William Kenneth Dorton, age 87, of Griffin, GA, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022.

Ken was born in Griffin, GA, on July 1, 1935, to the late Byron and Alma Dorton. He served in the US Navy for a few years and was stationed in Key West, Florida. After he was discharged, he spent his career in sales.

He and his wife, Jane, raised their four children in Forsyth, Georgia, where he found his passion for golf. He was very involved with family and his community and volunteered his time with many civic organizations.

He will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 62 years, Jane Goolsby Dorton; his daughter, Terri Fascilla, his sons Michael Dorton (Paige), Todd Dorton (Karen) and Scott Dorton (Christi); his grandchildren, Chance Barton (Lauren), Samantha Barton, Connor Dorton and Jared Dorton (Jelena); his great-grandchildren, Emma Wooten, Zoe Wooten and Jack Barton; sisters Linda Vlass and Gayle Royals (Randy) and numerous relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Stephen Dervan will officiate.
