William Monroe Jones

William “Bill” Monroe Jones age 90, of Hampton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born in Manchester, Georgia on May 22, 1931. His parents, Lola Spier Jones & Monroe Jones; son, William Jones; and sister, Teresa Jones all preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Ford Motor Company.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynn Jones; children, Karen Overstreet, Terri Ramirez, Joel Jones, Michelle Shewfelt and Margaret Wilson; grandchildren, Kristi, Andrea, Brittney, Jacob, Cole, Kylin, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Natalie and David; great-grandchildren, Lance, Ryland, Delaney, Damian, Austin, and Nora.

A graveside service for Bill Jones will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to American Kidney Foundation, http://www.kidneyfund.org/ in honor of Bill Jones’ life.
