William Allen Robertson

Mr. William Allen Robertson, age 74 of Hampton, Georgia passed away, Friday, November 8, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Robertson was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 6, 1945. His parents Charlie Daniel Robertson and Martha Jackson Robertson, and a brother, Charlie Daniel (Dan) Robertson, jr all precede him in death. Mr. Robertson was a member of the Hampton First Baptist Church for the past 18 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved spending time with his family. He loved the Lord and his church and serving the community, especially through Raceway Ministries. He retired in 2001 from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department after 32 years of service, after his retirement he has worked at the Clayton County Courthouse for the past 18 years as a security office for the judges. Mr. Robertson was an avid golfer, he loved camping and beach vacations with his family, as well as being a sports fan of racing, football and loved Georgia Tech.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sue Teet Robertson; daughter, Tammy Marr and husband, Jimmy of Douglasville; son, Timmy Robertson and wife, Judy of Hampton; grandchildren, James Alan Jones, Miranda Marr, Mikayla Marr, Roman Marr, Autumn Elyse Robertson, Amari Evans; great grandchildren, Khloe Evans and Kaydence Evans; several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Hampton First Baptist Church. Followed by a funeral service in the sanctuary. Pastor Craig McAdams will officiate. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you please make a contribution to Raceway Ministries at Hampton First Baptist Church, 85 McDonough Street, Hampton, GA  30228 (770) 946-4804 in memory of Allen.
