Zelda Rodgers Burger

Mrs. Zelda Rodgers Burger, age 81, of Griffin, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2020.

Mrs. Burger was born in Akin, South Carolina on September 10, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Rodgers and Beatrice Siegler Rodgers; husband, Kenneth E. Burger; son, Randy Burger; twin daughters, Charlene Burger and Darlene Burger. She worked for Southside Baptist Church as a daycare director. Zelda was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, gardening and flowers. She was a devoted member of New Salem Baptist Church and a sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her children, Rodd Burger and wife, Donna, Kendra Watson and husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Drake Burger, Hunter Watson and Walker Watson.

A visitation for Mrs. Zelda Burger will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at New Salem Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia. A funeral service will follow in the sanctuary of New Salem Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Barnes and Pastor Kevin Judy officiating. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens Mausoleum.
