Mrs. Carmen Phyllis Gaines, age 82 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Mrs. Gaines was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 14 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hulet Thomas and Bettie Davinport Thomas ; her husbands, Buddy Walker and Wesley Gaines; brother, Billie Thomas, Dickie Thomas and Jimmy Thomas. Mrs. Gaines was a member of Living Waters Church.

She is survived by her sisters, Jeanelle Gage, Louise Vaughn, Shirley Hooks; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Carmen P. Gaines will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00pm at Griffin Memorial Gardens. Tracy P. Goodman will officiate.
