Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Underwood Morris, age 85, of Griffin passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Morris was born in Woodbury, Georgia on December 27, 1931. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus H. and Jimmie Lou Alford Underwood; her son, Tommy Morris, sister and brothers Mae Hendrix, Charlie Underwood, W.A. Underwood and Bobby Underwood.

Mrs. Morris was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. In her early years, she worked at Jayco Knitting Mill and American Mills, was a stay at home Mom for many years and later she owned and worked with her husband at their produce market in Orchard Hill.

She is survived by; her husband of 62 years, Thomas Morris; son, Tony Morris and wife, Robin; daughter, Tami McPherson and husband, David; grandchildren, Luke McPherson and Logan McPherson; brothers and sisters, Grace Ballew, Mary Killingsworth, Blanche Fisher, Tommy Underwood, Sue Gosman and husband, Chuck; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Rock Springs Church Family and Brightmoor Hospice for all of their loving care and support.

A visitation for Mrs. Elizabeth Morris will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Benny Tate will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
