Mr. Frederic Earle Staats, Jr., age 88 of East Point, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Southwest Christian Care.

Mr. Staats was born in Jacksonville, Fl. on August 20, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents Frederic and Frances Staats; wife, Catherine Louise Staats; daughter, Deborah Collier. He was a Teamster and a retired truck driver serving many companies over the years.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Fred and Marilyn Staats, David and Deborah Staats, Daniel and Shelia Staats, Melodi Allen, David and Patricia Collier; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Margery Collier; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Frederic Earle Staats, Jr. will be conducted on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Bible Baptist Church, Hampton, GA. Pastor Roger Prillhart will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery.
