Mr. Leon Crowder, age 92, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. Crowder was born in Pike County, Georgia on August 13, 1924. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Pierce Crowder and Violet Bankston Crowder; his wife Flora M. Crowder; step daughter, Shirley Bowden; and 12 brothers and sister. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and usher. Mr. Crowder was a retired paint contractor.

He is survived by son, Mike Crowder; step son Butch Wilson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Leon Crowder will be on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend John Nance will officiate.
