Mr. Marvin Edward Johnson, age 90, of Milner passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Johnson was born in Butts County, Georgia on April 2, 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie David Johnson and Annie Mae Babb Johnson, four sisters, Martha Faulkner, Elsie Mills, Bernice Mills, Clyde Rosser; five brothers, Raymond Johnson, Horace Johnson, Claude Johnson, Joe Johnson and Bill Johnson. Mr. Johnson was retired owner and operator of Johnson Construction and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lexington, Aircraft Carrier in World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carrie Perkins Johnson; son, Ronnie Johnson and his wife Patsy; daughter, Dianne Johnson Lewis and her husband, Andy; grandchildren, Ron Johnson and his wife, Lora, Tonya Jones and her husband Shane, Carrie Kulp and her husband, Stacey, Brian Howard; great grandchildren, Lane Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Enna Shane Jones, Grant Jones, Rhett Jones; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Marvin E. Johnson will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Swayne Poole will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens with military honors.
