Mr. Phillip Monroe Blanks, age 64 of Griffin, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 25, 2017 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.

Mr. Blanks was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 8, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Monroe Blanks and Mildred Huckaby Blanks; sister, Linda Williams; brothers, Wayne Blanks and Arnold Blanks. Phillip was the owner and operator of Phillip’s Food Pride on North Hill Street. He was a member of Voice to the Nations where he served as an usher and served on the Counsel Board of the church.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Blanks; daughters and son-in-law, Tara and Rick Mitchell, Barbara and Travis Toborg; grandchildren, Mason Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell and Alyssa Toborg; several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Phillip Blanks will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at Voice to the Nations Church. Pastor Andrew DeLee will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
