Mr. Ray Earl Edge, age 75 of Griffin passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence.

Ray was born in Culloden, Georgia on April 12, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, William George Edge and Ella Ruth Toole Edge Sikes. Ray was a retired Georgia State Patrol Officer, also retiring from Griffin Spalding Regional Hospital as Head of Security, and just recently started working with recycling center. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, proudly serving his country from 1960 until 1964 and was a member of Georgia Peace Officers. Ray loved the outdoors.

Survivors include, daughter, Whitney Edge Foster and husband, Chris; daughter, Crystal Edge Wheatley; grandchildren, Sydnie, Emily, Kerrah, Brianna, Ryan, Wesley, Chase and Connor; companion, Margaret Payne; sister, Carol Herbert; brothers, Wayne Edge, Ronnie Edge, Steven Sikes; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday January 19, 2018 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Billy Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery will military honors.
