When someone you love dies for some it's like a piece of you goes with them. For others it is a relief because they know they suffer no more. However, Jehovah God knows our deepest emotions. He understands that death is an enemy that we can't fight. That's why he promises that death will be swallowed up forever. (Isaiah 25:8). Also the Bible calls death the last enemy that will be brought to nothing (1 Corinthians 15:26). I was so sorry to hear about Raymond. You guys will always have a special place in my heart and memories from my youth and even now! He was sweet and fun, tough when needed and had a sense of humor to help through his trials! Dot, you were a very sweet and patient caregiver and loving wife to him and I know he truly appreciated and loved you. May Jehovah give you strength to cope with the days ahead, as he is the "God of all comfort" (2 Cor. 1:3-7) and bring you comfort as you grieve.
