Mrs. Betty J. White, age 84 of Griffin passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.

Mrs. White was born in Williamson, Georgia on July 23, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Richard Glass and Doris Gill Glass. She was a member of Carver Road Baptist Church, Where she was very active in all areas of the church.

She is survived by husband of 56 years James R. “Bob” White; children, Ginger and Roger Shipman, Rodney and Varnora O’Dell, Keith O’Dell, Kathy and Geoffrey Wells, Rhonda and Danny Blackman, Barbara Vaughn, Jan and Phil Treadway, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Lynn and Ken Irvin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Peggy Glass, Lamar and Brenda Glass; brother-in-law, Larry “Bud” O’Dell; sister-in-law, Leslie Hodges ; aunt, Barbara Bither; numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Betty J. White will be Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Carver Road Baptist Church. The funeral will follow the visitation. Pastor Tom Summers and Pastor Jim Hardie will officiate.
