Mr. Earnie Aldean Powell, Sr, age 86, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Earnie was born in Griffin, Georgia, on March 9, 1931. He is preceded in death by his parents, H. B. and Estelle Clark and Etheridge B. Powell, his brother, Mike Clark, great grandson, Jackson Ridley. Mr. Powell was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served 8 years. He was retired from Complete Auto Transit, and a member of First Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his children, Lynn Goss of Griffin, Priscilla Ann Powell of Griffin, son, Earnie Powell, Jr. and wife Elaine of Ringgold, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Ray Stojek, Fay and Tommy Payton, Barbara and Buren Goss; brother, Randall Clark; grandchildren, Mindy and Andy Connolly, Jodi Brandenburg, Sheree Whitfield, Bryan and Barbie Powell; great grandchildren, Addison Ridley and Shawn Powell.

A visitation for Mr. Earnie A. Powell, Sr. will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be held at 2:00pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral. Reverend Buren Goss will officiate. Interment will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 10:45am.
