We lost a wonderful man... a wonderful friend!

To The extended Steede Family, my heartfelt sympathy and condolences are being sent as Wilbur was a "Fatherly" figure to me for many years since meeting him at H. J. Russell & Co. Although, he was short in stature he had the heart and soul of a gentle giant......I will miss him forever and will find comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering and is "home" with his Father. May you find peace in knowing this and God Bless you all.

Brother Wilbur was a shinning light every time he walked into Ringgold Church. He shared our Sunday School class and always had a positive outlook. He was a blessing to all of us at Ringgold and a friend who will be missed greatly. He really did lift us all up and give us hope and encouragement just by his daily walk with God and the sharing of his testimony.

My heart goes out to Wilbur's family. He was such a delightful man and so devoted to the Lord. No matter how bad he felt, when I would ask him how he was, he would always say "I am so blessed and the Lord has been so good to me." I will miss his hugs and that wonderful smile on Sunday mornings at church. I know he was looking forward to living eternally with his Heavenly Father. Wilbur, I know you are dancing with the angels and celebrating your new home. Rest in peace, dear brother and I hope to see you again some day.

To my beloved brother Wilbur' s wife Olea and children. We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the Memorial Service of our brother Wilbur. Our hearts are full with grief of his passing. We are also happy because we know without a doubt that he is resting in our Lord and Saviours arms. We have wonderful fond memories of our brother, growing up on Knapton Hill, his vacations and work sabbaticals to Bermuda. Brother I will deeply miss our telephone talks, of catching up on family and the latest progress and issues in the building industry.
The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh, Blessed be the name of the Lord. Wilbur was a good man. So I ask God to give us men of faith... We want to thank God for lending Wilbur to us for such a long time. We thank Olea & Family for sharing him with us. I wish I could express just how I feel knowing you are bearing such a great loss. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memories become treasures. Dad is a special man who treated me like a daughter since we met in junior high Jill. He even talked to my husband like take care of my daughter or else. Rest in heaven Dad.Love you much.
