What a wrm and admiring memory I have of Spencer Frye! I knew him during the years 1960-63, don't know he exact years, when I was Pastor of the Monroevlle Presbyterian Church, Monroeville, AL. Spencer's father was band director at the sma;; nearby Repton High shool, Repton, AL, and attended the church I served. I took a trip to Atlanta (trhee days) with sSpencer, andfound him full of fun. Dear family members of Spencer Frye,
I was trying to reach out to him today when I discovered a lovely hand-written note from Spencer that he had written to me on Feb. 9, 1984, saying that he was coming to Hilton Head and would like to meet with me. I must have been in Toronto at the time, but am sorely sorry that I did not reach out to him at some time.
I spoke to my brother Buddy Roberts in Eden, NC this morning and said that I would love to be in touch with him now.
My condolences to the entire family on his passing.
How can this happen?! I am just devastated.
However, I would love to hear from any family members.
I loved my Aunt Lucy so much.
My brothers Buddy and Joe Roberts are still living in Eden, NC with their lovely wives Carol and Arlene.
My fabulous Mother, Evelyn died much too young in 1995.
and My father, CW Roberts died in 1983.
My only sister, Tanya, passed away in 2003 and my brother Timothy in 1995.
It would be wonderful to touch base with Spencer's family.
I am devastated that I was not in touch before now.
